Adult Karate Class at OTFC!
For both Adults and Young Adults!
OTFC’s Adult karate class is for both the beginning martial artist to an advanced martial artist willing to learn an aggressive, continuous flowing system of self defense techniques called “Hybrid Te Jitsu MMA”.
“Te Jitsu” is a hybrid system of martial arts comprised of other system and styles where effective and practical techniques are used while still maintaining the essence of traditional karate belt testing and katas. The “Te Jitsu” system includes, but is not limited to the styles and systems of: Tae Kwon Do, Kempo, Okinawa-Te, Jujitsu, Arnis De Mano, Hapkido, Stick Fighting, Arnis, Karate, Boxing, Muay Thai and more. “Te Jitsu” is taught by Hybrid Te Jitsu MMA head instructor, Sensei Glenn Magas.
Sensei Glenn Magas began his Martial Arts life at a very young age, starting off in Tae Kwon Do, where he learned his kicks, and then to Shotokan Karate, where he fell in love with kata and forms, and in highschool where he had experience in American Kempo, where he learned hand techniques, before falling in love with Gordon Doversola’s creation and masterpiece, the Okinawa-Te System of karate.
Glenn trained under Shihan Doversola for 15 years (earning a brown belt) before achieving a black belt in Mike Pecina’s Okinawa-Te Budokan system under Sensei Pecina (a Doversola blackbelt). In attendence were Sensei Larry De Lano (Doversola’s very first black belt), and Master James Ibrao (Creator of The 5 Forms to Black Belt and Ed Parker’s very first Black Belt). Glenn expanded his education in the Martial Arts to include shoot fighting, boxing, muay thai, jujutsu, Arnis, stick fighting and still continues to learn more whenever he can.
Sensei Glenn currently holds a black belt in both Okinawa-Te & Armas de Mano (under Master Nestor Ylagin) and is General Manager of Old Town Fight Club and Head Instructor for Hybrid Te-Jitsu MMA.
